Recording Session
The recording session scheduled for this Saturday has been pushed to the next (May 29).
We hope to see everyone there to finish our CD project in time for the quarter's end!

General Body Meeting
Welcome back to another quarter at UCSD! Let's hope for a good quarter of classes, fun,
and of course more MUSIC!
There will be a GBM coming up next Tuesday (1/12) at 7:30p. The location is
HSS 1106B. It is in the 'Humanities and Social Studies' building opposite of APM in Muir!
We hope to see everyone there again! We'll be asking everyone
about what they hope to see in the club this year. There'll be games and of course, FREE FOOD!

University Senior Center
The concert at the University Senior Center was a success! Thanks to everyone who
took the time out of their day to come and make some elderly people happy! Photos
and reassessment will be up soon!

Social Dinner and Concert Practice
Come join us the Poets for dinner at BJ's in La Jolla Village Square! Get to know
all your fellow musicians and have a good time! After that we will proceed to the
music center to practice for our upcoming Senior Center concert.
Forums Up!
A forum in its very basic form has been established! Use it as a form of communication
with all your fellow musicians over any subject!

1. University Senior Center Recital (Week 8)
USC is a nearby community with people aged 60-80. Audiences are rather open
to any genres of music: from Jazz to Classical to even the Beatles!
We are planning to perform again this quarter on week 8. Here's the

2. Braille Recital (Week 9)
Braille Institute is a place for people suffering from vision loss. The audiences'
age ranges from 70-90, and they tend to be fond of Classical music or music from the 30's and 40's.

3. Recruiting Staff Members!
Become a staff member and join the team! As a staff memeber, you will get an opportunity
to brainstorm fun events with our officers team. It is a great way to get involved! If you are interested, then
please send us an email (poetsofn [at] ucsd.edu) with a little information about yourself!
Or show up to our next officers' meeting at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 21st. We will be meeting
nearby Tapioca Express in the Price Center.
A blog has been added to the website! Officers will post some news and/or
thoughts to it.

The University Senior Center recital has been cancelled due to a conflict
in timing. Apologies if you planned to intend! However, we are starting to plan the upcoming
Braille Concert. Please notify Minji if you are interested!

A new Lessons tab has been added to the upper navigational bar, with the introduction of the
free musical lessons! Anyone who has an interest in any of the instruments should check them out! An interactive
Calendar has also been added, providing more detail of events that the left box does not.

The Poets of Noise website is now v.2! Changes include a whole new aesthetic feel, with the background illustrated by
Rosa Chung. The navigation of the website, especially that of the gallery have been improved to be more convenient to web surfers.
Finally, photos from the Jam Session and Admit Day have been added!
